About me

I’m a tea drinking, cake loving, disabled stay at home mum based in Bedfordshire. I went to university in London to study Law and unfortunately my career was de-railed early on by my medical condition, Osteogenesis Imperfecta.

Once my children were going to school full time, it became obvious that the fluctuating nature of my condition meant returning to work was not an option. I turned to sewing in 2016 in order to occupy my mind and hands. Little did I know at the time, I would soon find an amazing community of like minded people on Instagram. I never would have guessed sewing would have helped me through some very difficult periods of isolation, uncertainty and rehabilitation.

This blog aims to bring together the various aspects of my life. I will write reviews of things I have made, and try to shine a light on the ups and downs of chronic illness and disability.

Occasionally I may accept fabric or patterns in return for an honest blog post. This will always be disclosed and my opinion unedited by the supplier.
